We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist with a strong background in quantitative genetics, genomics and statistics. Experience with linkage/association mapping and genomic prediction is essential, as is the ability to handle large data sets and develop bespoke analytical pipelines in R. The successful applicant is expected to have a PhD degree in a relevant area, as well as a promising track record of delivering high-quality presentations and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Building on extensive data and resources provided by the Designing Future Wheat and Tailoring Plant Metabolism Institute Strategic Programmes (ISPs), the role holder will develop innovative methodology that integrates high-throughput phenomics, linkage/association mapping, genomic prediction and crop growth modelling. She/he will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a highly interdisciplinary team, including members of multiple RRes departments and ISPs.
